Amazing Day

With a combo of work, my parents visiting, some evening brush hogging, the fire pit being marked and started, the first of the front bushes getting chopped, and Dr. Pepper from Old Doc’s, it was great to end the day with our first major thunderstorm.

The rain on the metal roof was so hard, that you could put your hands on the a-frame sheeting upstairs and feel the rain hitting. If you opened the door near the carport, you couldn’t hear yourself think. Lightning hit close by a couple of times, one time knocking out the power for just a moment. It was truly wonderful, and we really needed the rain.

Time for bed. Trying to get up super early…
